PT Dipo Star Finance (DSF) was founded in 1983. In 1992 DSF became part of Mitsubishi Corp based on a joint venture agreement between MC Automobile Holding Asia B.V, PT MC Auto Consulting Indonesia, and PT. Pahalamas Prosperous. DSF is a financing company for commercial cars and trucks, especially for the Mitsubishi brand through financing solutions.
The company partnered with Google Cloud to migrate its mission-critical applications, including Confins, LMS, MF, SAP, and STG, to GCP infrastructure for Dev, QA, and production environments.
The Challenge
During the migration process from a legacy system to a VMware environment, DSF faced a significant challenge in ensuring compatibility and integration between their existing third-party Building Management System (BMS) and VMware solutions. This challenge arose due to the complex nature of BMS integration with virtualization platforms, which requires careful consideration of various factors.
The Solution
PT Dipo Star Finance partnered with Google Cloud to migrate all of their applications, including Confins, LMS, MF, SAP, and STG, to GCP infrastructure for Dev, QA, and production environments. This migration included the provision of BMS and VMware, which were procured from third-party vendors. The migration process involved data migration, compute migration, testing, and integration.
